For cell tower scans we use a Heatmap application that verifies if we have acceptable coverage from the hundreds of photographs taken to create a Tower 3D Model. Here is an example of a cell tower Heatmap. If you look very closely you can see the tower mast inside the Heatmap diagram. The green dots represent where each photograph was taken. The red with purple knob sticks show the angle of the camera gimble. The sticks that are outside the green dots are where the drone flew but no photographs were taken. This diagram represents a successful Heatmap.
